without moving an inch for most of that time. That was on the Metalmaster pads, and the rotors had a huge amount of rust on them (humid New Orleans). There was a lot of rust transfer to the pads, and at first it had very little braking capability, but after driving it for a few tens of miles (carefully), all the rust wore off and by the time I drove it to Virginia the brakes were just like they used to. They were fine for another 10K-15K miles after that before I changed to the Hawks, so I'm pretty confident I can say it is not rust affecting these pads.
